What a gift for Republicans to have Kamala Harris doing a book tour and getting time on every WOKE program she can book, from Morning Joe to the Joy Reid podcast. Unfortunately for her and the Democrats, she appears guilty of day-drinking, and her answers are a collection of word salads. She sat with Mika and Joy. She returned to The View, where she gave the answer that ultimately cost her the election. She faced no hard-hitting questions, because none were allowed. This series of appearances was a book-selling media blitz, and it was her show. The job of the media was to nod their heads in unison, as if her answers were profound and easy to understand for even the unknowing. Follow-up questions did not exist, though the art of the follow-up was lost decades ago.
Every one of these nodding heads allowed her to point her finger and assign blame to every member of the administration. Not one of them dared ask what her role in the campaign was or what part of the campaign’s failure she was responsible for. She may have only had 107 days, but she managed to spend every penny of the one-plus billion dollars allocated for her by Biden and the DNC. It was the most expensive and embarrassing Democratic campaign in our history. I challenge anyone to convince me this country would be in a better place with her in the Oval Office rather than Donald Trump.
Tim Walz is in charge of a declining state, and nobody wants to commit to why he was the choice for the Harris ticket. She is trying in vain to explain why she could not select a Jew or a Gay man, but never has a good explanation why Walz was selected. The only logical case is the same as Biden had for Harris. Nobody wanted to see Biden pushed aside and Harris in the Oval Office. The same would be for Harris. Walz was a safe pick.
Walz has parlayed his 107 days into an extended moment in the spotlight. He was a terrible campaigner and debater, but he has found his niche on the college graduation circuit. He is using these speaking engagements to do what he does best: bash Trump. Like most Democrats, Walz has no original policy ideas to address immigration, the economy, or public safety. His policy and talking points are to be adverse to any Trump policy. This goes beyond TDS. This syndrome is Anti-Trump Hysteria. Some argue that if Trump had pushed for the shutdown, Schumer and the Democrats would have passed the CR to avoid the shutdown. And these Democrats call themselves free-thinkers, quite ironic.
With every speaking appearance by Harris or Walz, most Americans breathe a sigh of relief that we avoided the catastrophe of a Harris/Walz administration. They can keep talking, but their future electability is gone. We can thank God for that.
