God may not be a Republican, but he certainly has put his hand on the 2024 election. The fact that the former President is still walking on earth is evidence of Divine intervention. The fact that 15,000 Trump fans did not run for cover when shots rang out in Pennsylvania is proof that a Higher Power is wrapping his arms around MAGA fans and understands these people are not a threat but want our great country back. The fact that the tone of the message from both sides of this contentious election will be softened shows that God has heard enough of the noise. The fact that the DNC pulled all advertising moments after the shooting and Biden referred to his archrival as Donald twice is proof that good can defeat evil. It is no exaggeration that there was a monumental change in America on Saturday night, and to deny God is to be given credit is the thinking of a fool. We all need to embrace this moment and understand its significance.
I will admit I shed a few tears since Saturday night, but even those tears have taken on a new meaning. My emotions have moved quickly from the initial disgust and fear that someone tried to snuff the life out of Donald Trump to the pride and excitement at how this man took a near-death experience and has used it to unite a nation. With blood flowing from his ear and surrounded by a half-dozen secrete service agents trying to get him off the stage, his first reaction was to raise his fist to the crowd and exhort them to fight, not physically, but fight to save America from her tailspin and make her great again.
There will be plenty of time and energy spent dissecting the failures and shortcomings of the security team, but that is not for today. There will be questions about the White House and DHS refusing requests from Trump and the RNC for additional security, but that is not for today. There will be time to chastise the media for their coverage of the attempted assassination by calling it noise or that the former President fell on stage. But that is not for today. Today is the time to reflect on how we have drifted off course and need to reset. Jim Rohn was someone I looked to for direction in my career. Everything Rohn said had meaning, but I felt one quote was his most impactful-“It is the set of the sails, not the direction of the wind, that determines which way we will go.” We cannot control forces around us, but we are in control of how we react to those forces. Those reactions define our character, and that now iconic picture of a bloodied Trump framed by the American flag, holding his fist in the air, will be in our minds forever, representing this man who has set his life aside for America.
Those of us who believe in Trump understand that this country needs his drive and talents. Those who condemn this man as a threat to their existence have been shown by his survival that this man has a calling: to raise every American, not just those who follow him, but every American, to their full potential. I pray to God that he will continue to protect Donald Trump and work with him to finally unite this great land.

Well said. I pray for President Trump’s safety every night and agree that God played a significant role at the Pennsylvania rally.
