About as many who thought it was money well spent on The Roosevelt Hotel. Letitia James, the Attorney General of New York, is a bitter, angry woman who got elected on the singular pledge to make Donald Trump’s life miserable by tying him up in a lengthy public trial. She fulfilled her commitment with the help of a made-for-TV judge more focused on camera time than justice. Letitia James forgot the first rule of a prosecutor or judge. She forgot to live a life by the law if you are going to use the law on others. James got caught, and ironically, Sweet Letitia was charged with real estate fraud, the exact charges she levied on Donald Trump. The difference is that there is ample proof of James’ guilt, which is lacking in Trump’s case. She claims there is no evidence, but we cannot wait to see how she explains claiming her father was her husband on loan applications not once but twice. She also falsified the descriptions of properties in order to qualify for a mortgage at a preferred rate. This trial should be fun, and I wish Trump would sit in the same seat James occupied for his trial just once. James has adopted her usual persona whenever questioned about her case. She raises her voice, uses emphatic hand gestures, and assumes if you are loud enough long enough, you must be innocent.
So where does the $10 million come into play? Seeing that James would be a political target or that she was dirty as hell, New York appropriated $10 million in the budget to cover the legal fees of any state attorney who faced charges as a result of performing their professional duties. I am not sure they had an Attorney General committing real estate fraud in mind, nor should James have her legal expenses paid by the people of New York. What she is charged with doing has nothing to do with her position as Attorney General, except she probably calculated that she was above the law because of her position.
The problem with pointing a finger of blame at anyone is that we all have things in our past that skirted the rules. If you are a public figure, somebody will do the research and uncover your flaws. The problem with Democrats is they come off as the “Holier Than Thou” keepers of justice for all. More often than not, they end up with mud on their face. Their blindness to hypocrisy and the obsession with power at any cost is their weakness. They came from a foreign land of oppression and then hated the America that gave them a home and unlimited opportunity. They lie to open doors and interchange the roles of family members to suit their needs. They have no boundaries when it comes to the stewardship of Americans’ money and feel it is theirs to use at will. They claim to be keepers of the earth and then justify their disregard for the same because of their importance and need. They despise America, the Constitution, her history, and most of all her people. Their God is power, and nothing will stand in their way to get to the altar.
