There is a reason that very few Americans watch Morning Joe, or any show on MSNBC for that matter. People expect the information they gather from news networks to be accurate, and the crew of Morning Joe are masters of twisting the truth. What I watched this morning on MSNBC, and believe me, I did not enjoy the time spent, is precisely the reason that Trump has monthly three-hour cabinet meetings and daily interactions with the press. The press will not acknowledge any of the gains we have experienced since January 20, because they would rather analyze the thought process of the principals, as if they can read their thoughts and minds.
In over an hour of airtime, there was not a minute spent discussing the accomplishments of the TRump administration. Not a minute was spent discussing policies that have fallen short of expectations. There was not a minute of discussion about Democratic alternatives to Trump policies. The panel of experts opted to devote all of their time and expertise to psychoanalyzing the members of the cabinet and how they were following Trump’s directive to give him praise, ala Allah, in every dissertation. They were told they must heap praise on the Orange Man, for he is the greatest President of all time. Now, I am not sure how many people are actually watching Joe, Mika, and all the bobbing heads at 6 am, but if any of them have a modicum of free thought, did they not realize that these people had no clue as to what they were professing? These people were making things up on the fly with the sole purpose of making Trump look like the ultimate dictator and his team the biggest group of subservients ever assembled.
I had a different take as I watched the Cabinet Meeting. The praise became somewhat stale, but each team member felt obligated to follow suit or risk being perceived as an outlier. In their defense, for many of these individuals, serving on Trump’s cabinet is the chance of a lifetime to accomplish things they would never have achieved on their own. And only Donald Trump has the foresight to see past their differences to what they can achieve together.
I watched with a sense of pride as a group of individuals set aside their personal successes to collectively improve the lives of every American. Never did I have that feeling with Biden or Obama. With those teams, I had the feeling they were in the game for themselves and their personal agendas. At no time did I feel those teams were looking out for Americans.
I realize I have used RFKJ as an example in previous articles, but he is worthy of note again. Many think his ideas are those of a radical lunatic, especially when it comes to vaccines. But, RFKJ is on a mission to make America healthy after generations have been poisoned and made unhealthy by bad government decisions and the profiteering of big business. He had no chance of ever seeing the Oval Office as an Independent candidate after being exiled by the Democrats. By teaming with Trump, he is being allowed to implement significant changes that will have a profound impact on American youth. He is also opening our eyes to the abject failure of government to look out for our best interests for decades. One set of data he discussed made you shake your head in disbelief. In 1970, the incidence of Autism in children was 1 in 10,000. Today, the Autism rate is 1 in 19 children; 1 in 12 for boys. Nobody can look at those numbers and say it is not something we are doing as a culture to create this horrible situation, but why did it take 50 years for someone (RFKJ) to shine the light on our children?
So let the talking heads on MSNBC and CNN analyze the motives of Trump and his team, and we Republicans will take pride in the phenomenal gains made in seven months and look forward to every day of the next 3 1/2 years.
