Hakeem Jeffries loses whatever credibility he has left whenever he opens his mouth. Whether delivering a marathon speech from the House floor or answering a leading question from a leftist member of the media with an anti-American agenda, Jeffries shows us that the Democrats are less about principles and more about personal and Party power. Shortly after, Zoharn Mamdani won the Democratic primary for New York City Mayor as a Democratic Socialist candidate, Jeffries refused to endorse Mamdani, claiming he did not know the man enough to throw his support behind him. In just a couple of weeks since, Jeffries has thrown his arm around the communist candidate and welcomed him into the new wing of the expanding tent of the New Democrat Party. Jeffries went on to explain that the Democrat Party resembles the mosaic that is America, and must welcome everyone under the tent. It is by embracing all ideologies that the Party can reclaim its footing. So what Jeffries is saying is that the Party must accept and endorse Socialists and Communists to remain relevant. What a crock. How does that define what the Party stands for, if instead of convincing the masses to believe in your beliefs, you simply have multiple beliefs? That is not a party, but a big tent filled with clowns of every walk of life.
At the same time Jeffries was sewing the new flaps on the tent, the self-proclaimed king-maker, Jim Clyburn (D-SC), who crowned Joe Biden as President in 2020, gave a bizarre and veiled endorsement of Mamdani. Clyburn stumbled and mumbled his way through his prepared remarks, sounding like he was endorsing Andrew Cuomo, before finally getting around to throwing his support behind Mamdani the Commie, as Donald Trump has named the Communist candidate. Mamdani is currently leading in the polls, and with three candidates on the ballot, he only needs to receive 34% of the votes to win. This task has been made easier with Andrew Cuomo still on the ballot, along with current Mayor Adams, who will run as an independent, and perennial candidate, Curtis Sliwa, the Republican candidate who founded the Guardian Angels to protect the NYC subways. None of these other candidates can match the charisma and likability displayed by Mamdani.
This NYC election is a mess that has every Republican concerned, especially President Trump, who has gone on the record saying we cannot allow a Communist to take charge of America’s biggest city. Should Mamdani win, he will have the $116 BILLION NYC budget to play with, and we know how easy it is to make huge chunks of that big a budget disappear. Just ask former Mayor De Blasio, who funneled millions of dollars into his wife’s hands to help the mentally challenged in NYC, supposedly. The money did not reach the end-user, but nobody knows where the money went.
Republicans still feel they can win this race and block Mamdani, but it will take a lot of money, the registering of one million new Republican voters, and the interjection of the power of Trump to get past this threat. The fact that we are spending so much time on this subject highlights how messed up the Democrat Party has become, and the only good thing that might happen under that big tent is an elephant parade to the mayor’s mansion.
