The Democrats who should be leading this rudderless ship continue to tell us how deep their bench is, but reality shows they are blowing smoke into the wind. If the bench is so deep, why is a self-professed Socialist the Left’s candidate for Mayor of New York City and Minneapolis, Minnesota? If the bench is so deep, there would have been a plethora of candidates vying to lead the Big Apple. Minneapolis is a different story, as Minnesota is so far gone, a Socialist in charge is construed as a move to the center.

Kamala Harris’s tell-all book hits the shelves today, and she appeared on The View and Rachel Maddow, two safe and friendly arenas where Kamala can say anything, and the hosts will nod in agreement. I am sure she will be sipping coffee with Mika any day now, and it will be a love fest. But why, Kamala Harris is a loser taking a victory lap. It’s wrong and insulting.

Harris is pointing her finger at anyone who had a role in her campaign. She has conveniently forgotten that she stole this nomination away from Joe Biden without Kamala gathering even a single primary vote. The Democrats conveniently threw the Democratic procedure out the window, gave Kamala over a billion dollars and 107 days to win, and prevent Donald Trump from moving into the White House.

Harris points to the 107 Days, which is also the title of her book, and declares that there were not enough days to gather traction and win. In retrospect, she may have had too many days. The high point of her approval rating was in the first week after she was named the candidate. Every successive day saw her favorability decline. As people got to know Kamala Harris, they liked her less.

Harris addressed the choice of Tim Walz as her running mate with Rachel Maddow, and her answers reveal how timid Harris was as a candidate and how she operated out of fear. Walz was the wrong choice, and not necessarily the safe choice. He should not have even been considered. Harris claims that Shapiro would not return her calls, and she did not think having a Jewish running mate would give her an advantage. Mayor Pete was too gay for her liking, and surprisingly, Maddow, who is gay, did not challenge this foolish statement. There is little to say about The View. The show falls under the ABC News department, but the show has nothing to do with news or facts. It is pure Leftist propaganda.

Harris better hope this book tour is a success because her political career is over. She has burned every conceivable bridge and shown she is a shallow individual with no sense of personal accountability. She pointed the finger of blame at everyone in her circle except the person in the mirror. She had four years as VP to build a portfolio of work, but she had none. She may have been the heir apparent to the ticket when Biden was cast aside, but she in no way deserved the spot. Kamala Harris on the ticket for President of the United States proves how weak the Democrat bench is and how the Party has no leaders and no platform. That is how two Socialist candidates found their way to the front of the line.
