Trump Didn’t Choose His Fate, Fate Chose Him

We are not in control of our destiny. That task has been assigned to a higher power. We make decisions and choices along the way, but God has the master plan. On Saturday evening, a crazed young man took aim and fired a weapon with the intent of terminating the existential threat to our democracy and the world. The shooter came close, but that is not good enough when death is the goal. With the help of Divine Intervention, Trump moved his head at the right moment and lost a piece of his ear and not his life.

President Trump broke protocol on the opening night of the national convention and appeared with his family. He entered the arena with a different gait and swagger. Trump appeared to have a different attitude, and the only thing we can attribute this metamorphosis to is a near-death experience that bloodied our Republican leader and scared the hell out of his supporters. If not for the protection of God, Donald Trump would have been killed on Saturday night. The bullseye put on Trump by Joe Biden was an easy target for a deranged individual who was allowed access into the supposedly safe perimeter established for the former President. The Democrats know they cannot defeat the man who will Make America Great Again, so they have lessened his security and given a twenty-year-old kid a chance to change the course of America.

In my eyes, Donald Trump is aware of a new responsibility that has been bestowed upon him by escaping death. God has told us the job of Trump and all MAGA Republicans is not done. America is One Nation Under God, and the world needs a strong America. At this moment, Donald Trump is the only man who can turn this great country around and relight that beacon of the hill. There is a new energy flowing through the Republican Party, like the blood flowing down Trump’s face. When Trump stood up on that stage after being knocked down by a sniper’s bullet, he defiantly pumped his fist and told us to fight for America; Republicans listened and showed renewed energy and commitment.

There are many similarities between Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan. They both survived an assassin’s bullet, and both unified America like never before. Reagan put America back together after Jimmy Carter tore her down, and now we need Donald Trump to repeat that task and make America great again after Joe Biden did his best to destroy her.

As Marco Rubio reminded us at the convention, thinking America first is not an evil thought like Democrats would have you believe. It is time to put America and Americans first and make her the country others worldwide admire and yearn to call home. We need to stop thinking of pride and nationalism as wrong. We have lowered our standards under Joe Biden to accept standards from the world as our own. That is not who we are. We have always wanted and expected to be the best. Donald Trump will give us the opportunity, and if we seize it, we will create a better America and lift the world with us. That is who we are; we lead, not follow, and do not accept mediocrity. On Saturday night, God told Trump and America that we have work to do, and we are excited to get started.
