We Should All Pray For Jen Psaki

By Ray Cardello for August 29, 2025, Season 32 / Post 31

I have been a detractor of Jen Psaki since her days with the Obama administration. I have little respect for her many positions in the White House under Obama and Biden, and perhaps her performance is because she was young and stupid. Most people outgrow both of these adjectives through experience and hard work. Unfortunately for Psaki, she only grew older. Her comments after the deadly shooting this week in Minneapolis show her ignorance and insensitivity, and disqualify her for a job, even at MSNBC.

These are her words on X after the shooting:

“Prayer is not freaking enough. Prayers does not end school shootings. prayers do not make parents feel safe sending their kids to school. Prayer does not bring these kids back. Enough with the thoughts and prayers,” Psaki said.

Maybe this is one time when Jen should have “circled back” before hitting the send button. But why? If this is how she feels, then let the whole world know you are anti-God. That plays well in Iowa!

There is no secret that Psaki is a Progressive. She is anti-Semitic, now anti-God, pro-crime, pro-illegal immigration, and anti-truth. She is a shining example of an indoctrinated kid, programmed by our failing educational system. In just 36 words, she insulted and alienated all Christians and Believers, who rely on prayer to navigate their lives. To demean prayer in such a fashion, as a reaction to a shooting in a church, should warrant dismissal, but at MSNBC, she will probably be lauded as a leader and a voice that needs to be heard. Fortunately, her show is not widely seen or heard. Her friends and family probably agree with her and had goosebumps as they read her post.

Psaki was not the only person calling for less prayer in times of crisis. Minneapolis Mayor Frey, a contemporary of Psaki, also called for more action and less prayer. Both of the individuals are being rightly roasted by most on social media. Frey may have sealed his doom for reelection in November, making way for a self-proclaimed Socialist to take the helm of the once beautiful, now-failing Minneapolis.

These people are missing the mark. Are there problems with gun laws? Absolutely, but confiscation is not the answer. Do we have a conflict between gun ownership and mental health issues? Absolutely, but when someone brings up a connection between trans, anti-depressants, and this shooting, it is deemed lunacy, because we have to protect trans issues at all costs, even mass shootings. Is prayer a solution? Not on its own, but the absence of God in people’s lives is a part of the problem. Once you remove a moral compass, it is far easier for an individual to go down a dark path with no positive ethos to pull them back.

We need to review the changes made in our educational system and hold them partly responsible. We have removed God from schools. That moment of prayer or silent meditation that allowed children to center for a moment at the start of the day was so offensive to the Left that it had to be removed. Instead, we now discuss reproductive rights, transgender options, and alternative sexual lifestyles, and wonder why our children are not educated, but confused.

The mainstream media wants to reduce mass gun shootings down to gun laws and the actual gun, as if a metal object is capable of killing without a shooter. They do not want to discuss the Godless society that they have helped perpetuate, and Psaki and Frey illustrated, because then they become part of the problem. I say they are. This world needs more God in our lives. We have tried it their way without Him for fifty years. I say, we invite Him back, if He’ll come.
