Hank Johnson has been a member of Congress since 2007 and lives in the Atlanta area. I say he lives there rather than represents the people of Atlanta because Hank Johnson is a despicable human being. If the folks of Atlanta paid attention to his actions, they may choose someone else to represent them. I have seen many videos of Johnson’s participation in House hearings, and he has always come across to me as a slow-thinking, low-IQ individual. He is also a racist, and though he loves to twist any situation to be the fault of white men and white supremacists, it is he who is the racist by his repeated examples. We have already dissected Jasmine Crockett, and we can only thank God above that she will not be back for the next Congress. The disrespect that these two “lawmakers” displayed towards the Angel Moms who were testifying before the Judiciary Committee was beyond reprehensible and unforgivable, and shows the lack of concern for fellow human beings by those on the Left.
The hearing was to evaluate the loss of life at the hands of illegal aliens and how sanctuary cities aided illegals to commit heinous crimes against others. The three mothers testifying before the committee did not choose to be Angel Moms. They were given that title when their children were taken from them, and their lives, as well as those of their families, were changed forever. Their purpose for testifying was to point out that the deaths of their children were preventable if sanctuary cities did not exist and progressive local and state officials did not protect illegal criminal aliens.
Johnson, as he always does, made the issue about Trump, white men, and white supremacy. If it is racist to point out the differences or failings of Blacks and Browns, isn’t it also racist to do the same about Whites? Johnson is the ultimate “One-Act Pony” in the vernacular of Joe Biden, and the mothers called him out on his analogy that it is just as bad to be killed by a white citizen as by a Brown alien. The mothers rightly shot back that one situation could have been avoided and that was if the government had done its job, shut the border, and protected its people.
As for Crockett, she wanted to reassign blame to the mothers who elected the local representatives who designated the sanctuary regions. She just wanted to ensure that she could not be held responsible. This foolishness is a thinking that makes you glad she is on her exit tour. If Congress did its job and enforced federal law, there would be no sanctuary cities. There would be no regions designated as free to commit crimes. Both reps tried to make this about color, and it is not. It is about right and wrong. One of the mothers was quite clear when she pointed out she was Brown. She wakes up every morning and sees a Brown woman in the mirror, but she also sees an empty seat at the table, and nobody is coming home to fill it. Her precious child was taken from her forever by someone who should not have even been in the country. As the mothers clearly pointed out, Renee Good and Alex Pretti made a choice to be in a position to be killed, their babies did now make a choice, and neither did these moms choose to be Angel Moms. Shame on Johnson and Crockett for trying to make these moms and their loss fodder for their agenda instead of apologizing and showing empathy for a mother’s loss.
