It could have been dark and gloomy, just like the last four years, but alas, the lights are bright, and people are happy and smiling once again. There is a bounce in people’s steps, and fears about the premature end of the great experiment called the United States have been assuaged. The stars were aligned, and by the grace of God, the American voters came to their senses and gave this incredible country hope again. They defied the odds and expectations and gave Donald J. Trump another four years to complete his mission to Make America Great Again. As Kamala Harris often says, “We have more in common than we believe,” and she is correct. The country agreed that we did not want her and her vision and resoundingly said we want Donald Trump and a brighter future for us and future generations.
Life is full of could-haves and should-haves. In politics, like sports, there are sure things on paper, but as they say, that is why they play the games and, in politics, why we have elections. Over the last decade, we have seen that American polls are less reliable than ever. Much of that trend is Trump and the fear of many to be openly a Trump supporter. For many reasons, socially and otherwise, many Trump supporters felt a need to suppress any open display of support for Donald Trump. The actions by FEMA towards Trumpers after Hurricane Helene is proof that the fear was justified. There may be a dramatic change in this thinking after November 5, as many Trump supporters were seen placing signs on their lawns after the election. It may now be cool to be a Trumper. Just ask the athletes doing the Trump dance on the field of play. We never saw that before Election Day.
The election of Trump is not the solution to our malaise but the beginning of a new chapter in our history. The dawning of a Golden Age will focus on American Greatness. We will no longer strive to bring America down to average, but once again, we will light that beacon on the hill and set new standards for other countries to envy and strive to achieve. There may be a plethora of metaphors in the last few paragraphs, but they are essential to illustrate just how dramatic a transformation we are about to witness. Trump went to Washington in 2016 to Drain the Swamp but was not prepared or surrounded by the right people to get the job done. The Pandemic also put the brakes on Trump’s plans.
Trump may have been out of office for the last four years, and we know what the weaponized government tried to do to keep him out. The government machine greatly underestimated Trump, and he has spent those four years formulating a plan to break down that machine and is assembling a team of strong men and women to wield the sledgehammer to get the job done. It is not hyperbole to say the new administration is the dream team, but it is a nightmare for the establishment. They are the best and brightest from both sides of the aisle, with the same drive to finish the job Trump started in ‘16.
Trump is still two months away from taking the oath but has already gotten to work. This man has no limits to doing the work needed to succeed. Not only did he name his staff in record time, but he has already brought Mexico and Canada to the table to tell them they will be on board with shutting down our borders and ending the flow of Fentanyl and gangs into America or their country’s economies will feel the weight of American might. The Left thinks Donald Trump is irrational and a danger. They are wrong. He is a planner and a threat to the status quo. The first thing Trump did was to light the fire of hope under his supporters. The light is not powered by the wind or sun but by the dreams of Americans who are reenergized to get started on rebuilding America.
