Joe, Grow some Cajones and Admit You Gave the Go

By Ray Cardello for August 11, 2022 Season 12 / Post 26

On Monday morning, before sunrise, the FBI and CNN raided the Mar-a-Lago, the Home of Donald Trump. Not just raided the home of Donald Trump but the home of former President Donald Trump. This warrant is the first time in our history that our investigative bureaus have violated a previous president’s home.

There are two ways to look at this situation that has rocked the Republicans in this country but should have every American citizen concerned about the credibility of the Justice Department and the FBI. One is the merits of the raid, and the other is the credibility of the people involved in the raid.

On the surface, this raid was a search for documents requested by the National Archives. That is bogus. The Trump family has been working with the Archive Librarians for months. A few months ago, fifteen boxes of Presidential docs were turned over by Trump to the Archives. The Trumps have been cooperating, so why did the situation evolve into an early morning raid on the home of our former President?

The FBI Agent in Charge was the one who formulated the story of the fake attack on Governor Whitmer of Michigan. The Judge representing the government case against Trump worked with Jeffrey Epstein’s associates. The Attorney General is the man so angry that he is not sitting on the Supreme Court yet shows every day why he is not. And the President is the man who hides behind his aviators and fumbles to put on a sports coat. Which of these fools had the piece of mind to call CNN so they would be there to film the debacle?

I should be angry and disappointed in our government and the supposed apolitical law enforcement agencies that have chosen sides, but instead, I am energized. I not only want these Democrats beaten in 2022 and 2024, but I want to see accountability. With a straight, stiff face, Nancy Pelosi says nobody is above the law. She would be an excellent place to start. I would love to see her in a prison-striped pantsuit paying the price for all the insider tradings that have grown such incredible wealth for her family.

Joe Biden and the White House disavow any knowledge of the raid, which is laughable. He may not remember, but he definitely knew. There is no way Garland or the FBI would have dared to raid the home of a former President without someone higher up the chain giving the nod. Karine can be as indignant as she can muster, but she looked foolish fumbling through her answer on the President weaponizing the Justice Department and FBI. You watch her and ask why you are wasting time, but she is such a wreck that you cannot turn away. She is the fitting face of this administration.

Fundamentally, Americans must be able to trust our elected officials. After all, these people are in Washington to represent us because of our support and votes. But something happens between the ballot box and D.C. We continue to be duped by a candidate saying one thing to get our vote and then flip plops once they secure their election. Foolishly, we repeat the process far too often by sending incumbents back to Washington for as long as they choose to be there. I respect those who see the futility of the process and take themselves out on their own accord to pursue other ventures.

I don’t know who or what will step up and set this ship on a better course. Maybe Trump can do it with a second chance at the Oval Office. With Biden’s team’s actions this week, they have guaranteed that Trump will run again in 2024. With the Dems abandonment of Biden and nobody stronger than Mayor Pete in the pen, we can get out those MAGA hats and wear them proudly.
