My compassionate side says we are piling on Tim Walz, and we should back off and give him some space to do his job. Then the reality side of me says, hell no. Tim Walz is everything that is wrong with American politics, and borrowing his words, we should ride him right out of office and into a nearby correctional facility. Tim Walz does not really have a job. Oh, you can say he is the Governor of Minnesota, and was nearly our Vice President, but his actual job is to take advantage of Minnesotans and the American people, skim as much as he can from the system, and use the media to deflect attention away from his misdeeds and onto President Donald Trump. We knew from the 2024 election that Walz had no credibility, and in picking him, Kamala Harris demonstrated her inability to make a sound decision. I will be thrilled when this whole mess in Minnesota is cleaned up, Frey, Ellison, and Walz have been indicted on fraud charges, and we can move on to the next hot story. But, in the meantime, we have to point out the blatant lies and charades that Walz is trying daily to pull on the public.
Walz made many false, misleading, and incendiary comments during his press conference on Thursday. Still, two of them were smoothly slipped into the conversation and concerned ICE agents on the ground in Minneapolis, and were entirely without merit. You have to ask how a sitting Governor could lie so easily, knowing it would only take a nanosecond to fact-check him, yet the mainstream media could not spend that nanosecond and ran with his comments as facts.
Walz claimed that he personally witnessed two incidents involving ICE agents that tore at his soul. He questioned whether Republicans could feel caring. I will certainly question his soul, and if he has one, it is dark. One situation involved a medical person who offered to care for a victim of the protests and unrest and was told by an ICE agent that he did not care, and the person must step aside. The second involved a local grammar school where students and teachers were traumatized by the presence of ICE agents on the campus. Neither of these incidents has been verified, nor are there any videos to back up the Governor’s claims. Miraculously, Walz is the only one to witness these occurrences, or were they products of his imagination that fueled his anti-ICE, anti-Trump narrative?
Here are the facts of what actually happened. First, there is nothing to substantiate Walz’s claim that a medically trained individual offered help. Secondly, there was an incident that happened earlier in the day that involved another domestic terrorist hitting an ICE agent with his vehicle and fleeing the scene. There was a pursuit that lasted many minutes and miles and ended on a school campus. The individual was taken into custody, and there was no entry into the school by agents, and no students were involved in the incident.
Walz, Frey, and to a lesser degree, Ellison, would better serve the people of Minnesota if they held fewer press briefings, stayed close to their offices and staffs, and worked to defuse this unrest in their state rather than fuel the public who are gathering to protest and confront ICE agents. Perhaps Walz should call in the National Guard, not to protect Minnesotans from ICE, but to assist them in bringing order back to Minneapolis. If not, Trump will be forced to send in more ICE agents to support the 2,000 already on the ground, and this will exacerbate the matter with protesters.
