The Butler did it this weekend. That is, Butler, Pennsylvania, did it on Saturday afternoon as Donald Trump returned to the spot where an assassin attempted to end his life just twelve weeks ago. This rally was not your typical Trump event. It was so much more. Saturday’s event was filled with emotion, remembrance, and promise. Butler, Pennsylvania, is a small town north of Pittsburgh with a population just north of 13,000. On Saturday, that population swelled to over 35,000 as over 21,000 Trump supporters, dressed in the colors of America and the MAGA movement, came from all over America to converge on an event that will be talked about for years to come. People started arriving on Friday night for fear they would miss out on a chance to see the 45th and soon-to-be 47th President of the United States, who has survived two assassination attempts in three months. Their efforts were rewarded with a show that only Donald Trump could put together. When Trump took the stage to a rousing ovation and the familiar sounds of Lee Greenwood, the electricity was palpable. When Trump stepped to the microphone and said, “Where was I?” the crowd went wild for the leader of their movement, their Party, and soon, their country.

Butler Farm Show Grounds was set up exactly as it was in July, with the addition of bulletproof glass on the stage and no assassin on the rooftop. There was added security and checkpoints, but nothing was going to damper the mood of this enormous crowd. This rally was a metaphor for Trump. He was shot down in Butler, just as he was by Biden in 2020. He had to return to Butler to finish the job, just like he is back on the ballot to finish the job for America. Brash, brave, and driven are just a few words you can use to describe Donald Trump as he hits the final stretch in this strange quest for the White House.

At 6:11, precisely the time that the bullet hit Donald Trump in July, Trump halted his speech and asked for a moment of silence for the slain former firefighter from Buffalo, Corey Comperatore, who was shot after using his body to shield his wife and daughter. Bells tolled, and the words of Ava Maria filled the air. It was a moving and emotional moment for everyone. Trump spoke for over 90 minutes and had some friends with him to fire up the crowd. The former President called on Elon Musk to address the crowd, and what he said about the attacks on the First and Second Amendments hit the mark. Musk is giving his support to Trump, but he is also ready to take an active role in the second Trump administration. On this occasion, Musk detailed the Left’s assault on free speech and the right to bear arms. He explained how these actions are the real assault on Democracy, not the Former President.

This rally, speech, and massive turnout should have the Left, and especially Kamala Harris, extremely nervous. The poll numbers continue to erode for Harris and grow for the Trump/Vance ticket. We may be approaching a winning margin that will be too great for Democrat interference to overcome, or do I dare say, steal.
