This campaign by Kamala Harris is the biggest show about nothing since the end of the Seinfeld series. Every question she answers, and there have been a record low number of them, is with a rehearsed dialog serving of word salad that has little to do with the question. Whether on a podcast or the rare presser, Kamala reverts to the comfortable answers she has mastered. Her surrogates, from Clinton to Walz, have all received the memo, and are on track to smash the records.
Friday night, Kamala sat down with Oprah Winfrey for what was advertised as a two-hour town hall. The interview lasted less than 80 minutes, but there was no direct answer. Oprah asked direct questions OF kAMALA, and as if she had been given the questions in advance, she had related stories for every question.
This event with Oprah was a gross injustice to the Presidential election process. People want and need to hear the truth about the candidate’s plan for the future. The people need to know the differences between the candidates. They are getting a streaming, monotone verbiage of hopes, dreams, and aspirations from Kamala. The Democrats are eating it up, as is the media. This campaign is a parody and of no value to America. If she were to pull off this plan to steal the Presidency, the remorse would be great, but so would the consequences.
There was no movement in either direction after the debate, indicating the voters were seeing through the Kamala facade. The legacy media is showing signs of impatience and starting to push back on surrogates of Harris/Walz.
Trump has declined an invitation for an October debate with Harris, which is the right move. If he were to be ambushed again by the moderators, he would not have the time to correct the damage before election day. We have the Vance/Walz debate coming up in a week and that will be a great opportunity for Vance to get the message out. The viewership will not be as great as the Presidential debate, but adequate for Vance to shine. Vance has been getting a lot of pracice with his daily interaction with the press, and is a strong, confident communicator. He should have an easy time schooling Walz on the differences between capitalism and the socialism being presented by Harris and Walz.
Sadly, the Harris interview by Oprah Winfrey was a rehearsed made-for-tv event complete with zoom appearances by celebrities like Julia Roberts, Chris Rock, and Meryl Streep. The “slip” by Streep to call Harris Madame President was obviously scripted and cheapened the event. People in the audience were allowed to ask questions, but they expected an answer. They were disappointed. The youg couple who asked about the plan to lower prices nd ease inflation were told the overused story of Harris growing up in a middle class Montreal. That story does nothing to drop the price of $7 eggs! While Harris was bombing on Oprah, Tampo Tim was dropping his own bombs on stage, telling listeners that we do not need four more years of ofwhat we are expriencing. He meant to slam Trump, but his line actually slammed Harris/Biden.
Harris and Walz are not rookies, but they are certainly performing as such. Harris is so sheltered and afraid of spontaneous interaction, she is the first Democrat since Walter Mondale to pass on the Al Smith Dinner, which is an annual white tie dinner in New York City to raise funds for Catholic charities supporting children of various needs in the Archdiocese of New York. This format would require participnts to think and speak on their feet quickly. That person is not Kamala Harris, but she is also not the person for the Oval Office.
