It Is Not What They Say In Public

I have never heard the plethora of negative political ads as I have for the 2026 Midterms, and they get more acerbic and time-consuming as we get closer to Election Day. If you took the time to listen to these spots, you would not vote for anyone. One ad in particular caught my attention: Maine late-comer Senate candidate Troy Jackson. Jackson addressed a group of seniors and told them he wants to ensure the quality of their retirement years. He wants to bolster Social Security and Medicare, lower grocery costs, and expand affordable housing. He sounds like the kind of guy that every retiree in Maine wants working for them. It sounds great, doesn’t it? Truthfully, that is just one piece of what Troy Jackson wants to do if he makes it to Washington, and it is the rest of the story people should hear and heed. In typical Democratic fashion, while he wants to do all of those things for Mainers, he also wants to do them for everyone in Maine. Every illegal immigrant in Maine would get the same benefits as a Maine citizen/resident if Old Troy were to have his way. He also supports the usual litany of Democratic positions like reopening the border, abolish ICE, defund police (have you ever tried to find a police officer in rural Maine?). Troy Jackson will say as little as he has to to hoodwink you into voting for him. He actually said today, “It’s unfortunate that there are people here in Maine that don’t like to use that term only because, you know, they’re Jewish, and what that means to them with the Holocaust,” Jackson said in the interview with News Center Maine, Portland’s NBC News affiliate. Maybe he needs a primer on the meaning of Genocide, but then, so does LA Mayoral candidate Ramen. She says she uses the word Genocide because she heard other experts use it during the primaries. Two things are wrong with her statement. The people using the term were Democratic candidates, not experts, and she is certainly not an expert in any field.

Mayor Mamdani, the worst Jew-Hating mayor New York has ever seen, introduced his new antisemitism task force today. He did not explain why he abolished Mayor Adam’s plan on his first day or why he still supports Gaza and Hamas, but we are not supposed to know those things.

These Democrat Chameleons, oh, I’m sorry, candidates, will say whatever you need to hear and conveniently keep the rest silent. A lazy electorate will vote for these people based solely on what they hear. A lazy electorate will soon be citizens of a Socialist country.

Author’s Note: Grok AI created the graphics. Grok’s comments about the images: The picture is a split-stage campaign tableau. On the public side, a warm podium faces retirees under campaign lights, with a Social Security check and grocery bag in easy view. Behind a thin curtain, the same figure speaks to a colder, unnamed crowd, with a torn border map and muted badges on the floor. It is not a portrait of one man. It is the method: sell comfort in daylight, keep the rest of the platform off-mic. The column’s warning is that a lazy electorate only ever sits in the first room.
