If Ilhan Omar plays her cards right, she can skip the carry-on and go with the traditional suitcase full of American currency. You can forgo the designer bag when you can pack the old black suitcase full of hundred-dollar bills. Seriously, it appears that the tide may be turning on Ilhan and one of her original Squad Angels, Rashida Tlaib. These women are part of one of the most influential, though unsuccessful, groups of Congressmen ever assembled. This bunch of young, radical women could make noise, but they could not legislate. They had the arrogance and swagger of women who felt untouchable in today’s WOKE Washington. They were all women of color and, as such, only had to cry racist at the early signs of resistance, and their attackers would have no choice but to back off. That is, until now.

There are members in both houses of Congress who are filing actions to have both women removed from Congress, and they want to take one more step with Ilhan and rescind her citizenship and deport her back to Somalia. There aren’t many Democrats rushing to defend these two women. Ilhan Omar has issues with her immigration and citizenship processes and may have direct ties to the Somali community and the fraud cases uncovered in Minnesota. Her net worth has skyrocketed in the last couple of years to a reported $30M on a salary of $174K. Though no action has been taken yet, another Squad member, Ayanna Pressley, saw her net worth rise from $12,500 before she was elected in 2018 to up to $8 million in 2024. Again, a nearly impossible feat on a $ 174 K salary. I don’t know if Tlaib is in worse trouble or how to rank their sins. Tlaib is being investigated for her ties with and financial support of a known terrorist group.

The numbers involved with the fraud in Minnesota, Maine, Ohio, and, apparently, anywhere there is a large number of Somalis settled, are too staggering to ignore. These women and the group as a whole, have gone from an asset to a strong liability, and they no longer serve a purpose to the Democrats. They now need to be sacrificed for the greater good of the Party. Support is no longer there against actions taken by the Republicans. Democrat leaders will quietly step out of the way and let the system eliminate these women. The last hope is that they do not take anyone down with them, and the make-up of these three would indicate they will not go quietly. What remains to be seen is what the backlash will be from the Somali, Palestinian, and Black communities. Democrats at the state and federal levels rely heavily on the votes and money from these minority groups.

So there are many stories here. The main storyline is the disposition of these three members of Congress. The next is the impact on the state and national elections in these Blue states. And finally, the Left wants to see accountability. We want to see one or all of these three in cuffs on a perp walk. It is one thing to expose them, throw them out of the Washington club. But we desperately need to see a conviction that restores our faith that the system can work and that we, the people, are being protected from these corrupt, ungrateful politicians.
