By Ray Cardello for January 30, 2025, Season 30 / Post 23
It continues to drone on with the Democrats hounding the Trump Cabinet nominees with questions about January 6. It is like a broken record stuck in the groove, reliving the events of January 6, 2021. Nobody looks at the day with pride, but most of us look at the day with open eyes, not slanted by the stories of the Left. There is no evidence of any weapons used by or confiscated from any of the protestors, and the only fatality was of an unarmed female shot by a Capital Police Officer. We often hear of the Capital Police fatalities as a result of January 6. Still, they fail to say that one, whose body was displayed in the Capital Rotunda, died of a heart attack, and the others were suicides. Congress conducted hearings, some directed by Hollywood professionals and staged for TV. Unfortunately, there was as much effort into destroying evidence by committee members as there was to production quality. It was a dark day, and there were plenty of fingers to point on both sides, but we could stop using this day and event as a measuring stick for confirmation. Corey Booker spent his entire time pushing Kash Patel to say something incriminating about President Trump. Is this a confirmation hearing or a fishing expedition? These people have a genuine fear of people assuming positions of authority where they can peel away the layers of the political machine built by Obama, Biden, and the Left.
At some point, the Democrats must abandon this obsession on January 6 and join the effort to return this country to its greatness. The weaponization of the government against Catholics, parents of students, and former Republican politicians and their families must stop immediately. The Democrats cannot believe the position they find themselves in because they never thought they would lose. They are not prepared to function as the minority party. They have no plan and certainly have no leader. The future is not bright for Democrats, as they have no one to lead. Peter Welch from Vermont spent his three minutes urging Kash Patel to say the words, “Joe Biden won.” This is what he thinks is important. This is the lack of leadership so evident in the Party on the Left.
The choice is clear. The Democrats can get on board and rebuild this great country, or they can learn to play second fiddle as the minority party for the foreseeable future. They need to replace Pelosi, Schumer, and anyone else from the old guard who will hold onto their old ways and prevent assimilation to a Woke-Free society based on merit. They need to end the infatuation of abortion as a campaign tool and start protecting our children, first by rescuing the 300,000 juveniles lost by the Biden Administration and then by stopping the ugly manifestation of young people to a gender not their own at birth. I don’t mind if they stay in this quagmire for years as long as they get out of our way and let us complete the job American voters are waiting for.
