Kamala Harris has been a prosecutor, a statewide district attorney, and vice president. Each position claims to uphold the Constitution of the United States, and yet, you have to wonder if Kamala Harris has ever read the document. She certainly has not gotten to the section called The Bill of Rights because she has no understanding or respect for the First Amendment. The text is straightforward, but Kamala wants to shred it.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Despite the widespread misunderstanding, the right to freedom of the press guaranteed by the First Amendment is not very different from the right to freedom of speech. It allows individuals to express themselves through publication and dissemination. It is part of the constitutional protection of freedom of expression. It does not afford members of the media any particular rights or privileges not afforded to citizens in general.

In a recent discussion, she was quite clear and emphatic that Elon Musk has “lost his privileges” with his X platform, and “it must be taken down.” The video of this discussion lives in the Cloud. However, Harris will probably say today that she never uttered those words, and she supports X. She went on to say that because a social media platform speaks directly to millions of people, it has a responsibility and must understand its power. It, meaning X, should be “controlled with oversight and regulation.”

These comments strike me on many levels. The primary is that Harris does not understand the First Amendment’s power and how it protects individuals and the press from people in the government like Kamala Harris. The second is that politicians, especially in the Executive Branch, speak to over 300 million people, yet they lie to Americans daily. Shouldn’t we have some form of protection from unsavory politicians, like oversight and regulation? The third is that the person she talked to did not utter a challenging word to her dribble. The press has freedoms, but it is also responsible for challenging people. The press was given freedoms in the Bill of Rights so that it could stand up to the government and be the guardian of the people. When somebody makes an obviously stupid statement, like Kamala Harris did, they must be questioned on their logic and understanding of the topic.

People like Kamala Harris, who is a Socialist, believe in government control over people’s rights. Ultimately they think the individual has no rights and should be entirely restricted by the central government. This philosophy is what makes modern-day Democrats so dangerous to the future of the United States. Kamala Harris is attempting to tack to the middle in her campaign, but her every action in the political arena shows she is a far-left liberal who cannot see the middle. Her selection of a running mate in Tim Walz, who is even to the left of Harris, further solidifies her Socialistic stands.

The blind support of the Harris/Walz ticket by so many people proves that the indoctrination of America over the last hundred years is working and that we have morphed into a country of lemmings and not individuals. Elon Musk’s purchase of X has given Americans an unbiased platform, unlike most of the press and media. That truth and openness scare the hell out of someone like Kamala Harris, who requires their word be heard above the truth. It is imperative that those of us who still believe in the concept of the United States and love the Constitution stand up and prevent the likes of Kamala Harris from taking them away from us.
