Rachel Maddow Proves An Education Can Be Wasted

By Ray Cardello for October 16, 2024, Season 29 / Post 17

Being a lousy sleeper allows me to scan the nightly shows in the early hours, but sometimes, that can give you a bad start to the day. I use YouTube TV, and it usually starts by default with MSNBC programming. I typically switch quickly to FOXNews or Four-square News, but I heard Rachel Maddow make a statement that caught my attention. Maddow said that nobody should vote based on business reasons. She went on to say that we are not shareholders but citizens. She then brings on the equally grating millionaire Mark Cuban to reinforce her position. So I suffered through a ten-minute session with two millionaires who told me that business and economic concerns should not affect my voting decision. This ludicrous conversation is obviously a veiled attempt to minimize the economy, which is the number one concern of most voters and a topic that Trump is beating Harris handily. I have never found any statement from Maddow worth the time, but this woman shows that she wasted her time at Stanford and Oxford. Diplomas do not make a person intelligent. Cuban has flip-flopped as significantly as Kamala Harris. In 2016, he backed Trump so strongly that he floated the idea of being Trump’s running mate. Now, he calls him dangerous, yet backs Kamala Harris, who has admitted she will change nothing from Joe Biden’s playbook. That is the playbook that has given us the worst inflation in 50 years, obliterated our sovereignty, made every state a border state, and made every city a center for fear and crime instead of culture and commerce.

Maddow was not done. She segued into her next dose of propaganda. To keep in line with the Harris/Walz message of the week that Trump is dangerous and Americans should fear a second Trump presidency, she quoted from the 2025 Program, attaching it to Trump as his policies and platform. It does not matter to Rachel Maddow that the connection between Donald Trump and the 2025 Project has been debunked by numerous sources. Maddow is known for spouting lies over her lengthy career, and her employers, MSNBC and NBC News, do not seem to mind her deviance from the truth. Maddow attacked Trump and his former ICE director, Tom Homan for their stance on immigration. She again referenced the 2025 Project and the lie that Trump would confiscate property for and build massive camps to hold illegal migrants until they can be deported. She also claimed that Homan was responsible for the practice of ripping children away from their migrant families. She failed to mention the first President who separated children from their parents at the border was Obama and that Obama was affectionately named the deporter and chief. She also failed to report the Biden/Harris administration has lost over 300,000 minors who are lost in every state. These children are now being exploited for cheap labor or sex trafficking.

In knowingly reporting fabricated stories rather than discuss the facts is a form of election interference and a mockery of the First Amendment. It is all done with the goal of keeping Democrats in power. It is an ugly relationship when the media is sleeping with a political party, rather than doing what is expected, and that is keeping government in check.
