The Left, the Liberals, the Democrats have always portrayed themselves as the advocates of the people. They are the protectors of those who need a hand-up by giving them a handout. This was seen as noble even though it was done with someone else’s money. A Democrat has no shame and will take the victory lap on someone else’s dime. They claim to be the champions of civil rights and prove it by tearing down the statues of Lincoln, the Republican who freed the slaves. They hold up the rainbow for all who fall under the LGBTQIA, and the initial of the month, while they fight for the right to kill the unborn, even after birth. They believe that every woman should be treated like royalty unless sitting on a throne in a restroom while assaulted by camera-carrying activists.

The examples go on, but you get the point. The Democrats are the party of hypocrites. If you need further proof, look to the last nine months. Never before have we witnessed such a power-grab and destruction of liberties and privacy as the bills and programs brought to the floor by the Progressive Party. Every day we think they can not go any further only to wake to the latest bizarre discovery buried deep in the thousands of pages of their legislation. Joe Biden claims he wrote the $3.5 Trillion Reconciliation Bill. The bill is 2500 pages, so if Biden’s outlandish claim were valid, it would make it Biden’s latest and greatest act of plagiarism.

This evolution of the Democrat Party coincided with the indoctrination of our youngest generation. Who is pulling the strings on this master plan? Is there one person, or the convergence of many individual efforts, that make it appear to be coordinated? I refuse to give one person that much credit. Soros has been dumping billions into this Progressive train wreck, but I don’t see him as a mastermind. It certainly is not AOC or Jayapal. They have ideas but no logical thought process to be dangerous. It certainly is not the Octogenarian Team of Biden, Sanders, Pelosi, and Schumer. Obnoxious, yes. Masterminds, not so much.

The Progressives have turned their efforts for the underprivileged to the control of all. They want to tax you, indoctrinate your children, develop your dependence on big government, and lessen your value as the breadwinner by bringing in thousands of illegals willing to do your job for less. They are also hopeful that the illegal alien of today is the Democratic supporter of tomorrow. This plan had worked in the past when we were talking about migrants from Mexico and Central America. Now that these people were entering our country illegally and documented from over 125 countries, support for the Democrats is a toss-up question.

This new approach by the Democrats of weaponizing the government against its people started during Obama’s term when he used the IRS to go after Tea Party supporters. Now the IRS is spying on any American with $600 in the bank. If you meet this low threshold, every transaction you make will be reported to the IRS. If you complain too loudly at your local school board meeting, you will be getting a visit from the FBI. They will then turn you over to the DOJ to be treated as a Domestic Terrorist. And do not even think of speaking your mind on CRT, Mask Mandates, or Gender ID. To do so will get you canceled quicker than a lousy sitcom on network TV.

No, the Democrats have lost their way. They have morphed from the Party of the People to the Party Over the People. They are no longer the party that supports unions. For now, they are the party that is controlled by the unions. This transition is very sad to observe. Most of our parents grew up supporting the party of JFK. If JFK were alive today, he would not recognize the New Democrat Party. He would be rushing to get to the other side of the aisle where rights and freedoms still exist and mean something. We would welcome him with open arms.
