The Left Is Having A Tough Time Adjusting To The New Norm

By Ray Cardello for January 26, 2025, Season 30 / Post 19

The Left, politicians and media combined are having a tough time adjusting to the pace of Donald Trump and his Administration. The amount of information and direct communication with Trump is foreign to the Press Corps after a four-year Biden term where the goal of his Administration was to stifle and hide the president from foreign officials, our government, the media, and the public. The period between Election and Inauguration Day was a preview of how Donald Trump planned to begin his second term in the White House. There is a confidence and readiness that we did not see in Trump’s first term. It is no secret that Trump was not prepared in 2017. Being a D.C. outsider, he struggled to assemble a staff, and his choices did not work out well. This shortcoming led to quick terminations and a lack of consistency. He is a far different person this time around.

The weaponization of the Justice Department for the last four years has given Trump an edge. He is not looking for retaliation and has often said our success will be his reward. The two assassination attempts have convinced him that he was spared by divine intervention because he has a job to do. He must finish the task of Making America Great Again. He sees the next four years as a combination of rebuilding the America that Biden tried to tear down, changing the Washington culture to align with the MAGA movement, and finally getting JD Vance and the Party ready for the Post-Trump America. That is a monumental task, but if one man can do it, it is Trump. He has unbounded energy and charges his batteries with the desire to make America great for every citizen.

Trump still has the bravado and showmanship that have been his trademark, but now he knows what it takes to do the job and get results. He made a great pick with JD Vance, and his Cabinet picks rocked the establishment and showed his opponents that he was a force to be reckoned with. He will not be denied, and you are either with him, or you will be pushed aside. The Left attempts to downplay the November results. They point to the minuscule 1.5% advantage in the election, but that is disingenuous. To win the popular vote, the Electoral College and Congress is a mandate, period.

There has been a common claim this week of Promises Made, Promises Kept. Trump made good use of Executive Orders starting on Tuesday immediately after he took his hand off the Bible. He closed the border, opened the tap on LNG, and restarted the Keystone. He vowed to rename Mt. KcKinley and the Gulf of Mexico. He assured us he would regain control of the Panama Canal. He traveled to North Carolina and California and threatened to shut down FEMA. There will be nothing orthodox about the second Trump presidency. People like Sandy Cortez are pleading with their followers not to normalize Trump, but they are too late. The American people did that on November 5th. It will be a rough four years for the radical Left as Trump’s accomplishments show America how wrong the Left is for America’s future.
