The Left, politicians and media alike, are apoplectic about Donald Trump’s selection for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth. The criticisms are directed at both Trump and Hegseth. Trump is taking shots for not nominating one of the many generals taking up space in the Pentagon waiting to be called to run the show. There are 44 active four-star generals, and the Army alone has more than the Army and Air Corps combined during WW II. Many of these Generals look forward to a yearly pension of over $250,000. With all of these stars and experience, you would expect better results than we saw in Afghanistan or are seeing in Israel and Ukraine. Trump is not the impulsive radical they would like their followers to think. The media always points to his first administration and the number of firings Trump had in four years. Trump is a businessman and is used to results, loyalty, and accountability. When the people he picked lacked any of these traits, they were replaced, unlike Biden, who did not fire anyone in four years and allowed his administration to be made up of incompetent loyalists at the expense of the American people.
It will be different for Trump this time around. He knows the players, his objectives, and the time constraint of one term, and he has put together his team in a record 18 days. He is ready to go to battle against the establishment to reform our government.
Pete Hegseth is one of those people. It’s an unorthodox pick door for sure, but one who will attack the job and not rest until the mission is accomplished. People like Joy Reid and Rachel Maddow quickly point out that Pete is a weekend host on FOX, but they fail to mention he is a Princeton and Harvard grad. They neglect to say that he did three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and was awarded two Bronze Stars. He achieved the rank of Major and the respect of every man or woman who served with and under him.
The talking heads are focused on a harassment situation from years ago that the police dropped, claiming there was no basis for the claims. Hegseth paid a settlement, which happens often in these cases. That makes Hegseth the extortion victim, but nobody seems to see that angle.
Pete Hegseth is an advocate for peace through strength. He also believes that women do not belong in combat and there is no place for DEI or CRT in the military. Biden believes in a diverse military, and weakening our military resulted in dangerously low recruitment. He has gotten us involved in the war in the Middle East, Ukraine, and now with North Korea. As these people are condemning and defaming Trump’s selections, they are parlaying us to the brink of World War III.
Shall we take the word of the followers of Joe Biden, who has never been on the right side of any issue in his fifty years in Washington, or his Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, who has softened our military, resulting in a dangerous world for America? The question is rhetorical, and the answer is obvious.

I think Hegseth is a great choice for Secretary of Defense. He has a fine background, he’s smart, he’s a Trump supporter, and I’m sure he will focus on making our weakened military better.
