I moved to New Hampshire from Massachusetts 45 years ago because the Granite State was a solid red state then and more aligned with my conservative beliefs. The state has evolved, like so many red states have, to purple and even blue as people move in for a better quality of life. Many of these people came north for the beauty of the state, no income or sales tax, and a safer place to raise a family than the Commonwealth, New York, Connecticut, or wherever else they came from. Unfortunately, without any reasoning, these people brought their political ideology with them, and rather than assimilate into their new home, they chose to change it to what they had. Where is the sense in that irrational move?

Representative Chris Pappas could be the poster child for an elected official who disregards most of his constituents and focuses on a specific WOKE agenda for a much smaller group. In a recent UCLA study, New Hampshire was deemed one of the “queerest states” in the country. The LGBTQ community is barely 7% of the population. The study by UCLA’s Williams Institute has brought to light the states with the densest populations of LGBTQ+ adults in the United States, reaffirming the growing diversity and presence of the LGBTQ+ community. Among the top five queerest states, approximately 7.2 percent (78,400 people) of its adults are LGBTQ+. The other 92% deserve some attention, too.

In the current Pappas campaign ads as he runs for the Senate, his focus is on beating Donald Trump. This is a very common claim in many Democratic ads and plays on the strong animosity towards our President. It is not very forward-thinking to be focused on beating, and even impeaching, Donald Trump, calling him one of the most corrupt Presidents. Trump received nearly 400,000 votes, or better than 48% of the votes in New Hampshire in 2024. That is nearly half the state that Pappas does not support and feels is supporting a corrupt President. This is a major problem in all six New England states. Depending on the source, 40-45% of New England voters are Republican, and only one federal officer in the region, Senator Susan Collins of Maine, is a Republican. Conservatives have virtually no representation in the six states, and we certainly do not need a larger tent or a Socialist.

The Left confuses progress with identifying what is wrong and not working and fixing it with corruption. Trump has broken no laws, which is why they cannot cite one, but he has upset their apple cart. As a businessman and not a politician, he has worked tirelessly on many fronts, putting in place more efficient solutions that work for all Americans. Again, that is a problem with the Left. Since they do not care about all Americans, they see such plans as coddling the rich. Interesting because Leftist politicians are the rich.

Left-wing radical Democrats have this mistaken belief that the majority of Americans buy into their leftist ideology when, in fact, most Americans want a more moderate country. Democrats have to separate themselves from the radical Left and return to the prize waiting in the middle of the spectrum. That prize is a more unified country.
