It is unclear why the DOJ appears reluctant to intervene in the invasion of Chinese-connected illegal marijuana grow sites across the country. We know in Maine that Governor Mills and her brother are financially benefiting from working with the cartel, which explains why she has had state authorities step down from their raids on illegal sites. But in just the last few years, close to 300 illegal sites have been identified by the Maine Wire, the only news outlet paying any attention to the situation. The number of sites in Maine may be small compared with other states, but the government’s response to them makes them national news. To add to the conundrum, the Mills administration has granted licenses to over 100 sites, thereby legalizing them rather than shutting them down.

The issue with these sites is multi-layered:

3 As the number of sites has grown from 200 to 300, the activity by state law enforcement has dropped off to nothing.

5 The sites are polluting the land with fertilizers and pesticides so complex that they had to be analyzed by labs on the West Coast.

6 These sites do not just involve the growing ot marijuana, but are also involved with human trafficking, narco-slavery or forced   concentration.

7 They are bringing air and water pollution to the neighborhood, and also pose a safety threat

Maine, specifically Senator Susan Collins, has been crying out for help for the past few years, but it appears to fall on deaf ears.

There are 20 other states where this illegal Chinese cartel activity has been documented. Oklahoma is the pinnacle of activity and appears to have a massive marijuana infrastructure. Over 3,000 illegal sites have been identified amongst the 7,000 grow sites across the state. Rural states with inexpensive land, like Maine and Oklahoma, make them targets for the cartel.

Maine needs help on two fronts. We need these illegal sites shut down and destroyed, but we also need an investigation into the relationship between the cartel, Janet Mills, and her brother. This is just another element of corruption and fraud that seems to permeate throughout this administration and the Maine government.

Unfortunately, as long as the Democrats have a tight rein on the state, there will be no action on the illegal pot growers. Maine will continue its demise with lower educational scores, a higher tax burden for those who choose to stay in Maine, and fewer job opportunities  for Mainers, especially the lower class, which is already being decimated.

Washington, Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Massachusetts, and more (at least 20+ states affected). Spread to rural areas with cheap land and less enforcement. This is no longer a state issue, but a national issue, again highlighting how China is taking advantage of America . The Feds were able to curtail the practice of the Chinese buying property adjacent to our military bases and existing farmland, but they must attack this situation across the land.
