Where Is The Outrage

By Ray Cardello for June 5, 2025, Season 31 / Post 21

The Pro-Palestinian/Pro-Hamas protests that we have been witnessing on the campuses of some of the most elite colleges and universities in the country have been repulsive on so many levels. Protests are usually just a show of ignorance by pampered, indoctrinated, petulant children who should be young adults concentrating on getting the best education possible to ready themselves for a highly competitive marketplace. These protests have been different at places like Columbia and Harvard, where the protests are obviously funded and organized by activist groups that are using these students as pawns to promote their agenda. They also are not simple protests or occupations, as these groups are also harassing Israeli students and threatening their safety on campus. For over a year, the Trump Administration has been pressuring these schools by freezing federal grant money until the schools do something to end these protests and actions. So far, the schools have not responded, and the protests continue. The Trump Administration is turning off the cash.

The publicity given to these schools and student activists is helping to stimulate lone terrorists within America to lash out and destroy property, injure innocent people, and kill innocent Jews in cold blood. These are deplorable acts ranging from the fire-bombing of Governor Shapiro’s (D-PA) governor’s mansion to the deadly shooting of a young Jewish couple in Washington, D.C., and most recently, the setting on fire of a dozen Jews in Boulder, Colorado, who were peacefully protesting for the release of the remaining prisoners by Hamas. One of the victims was an elderly individual who survived the Holocaust in Europe but nearly died at the hands of a deranged anti-semitic wackjob in Colorado.

Where is the outrage at these events? You do not need to be Jewish to be disgusted by these heinous events. You just need to be human. Except for Trump and most Republicans, nobody at the federal level is showing the anger that should be the reaction to seeing these senseless acts. There are 34 Jewish members of Congress, 10 Senators, and 24 members of the House. We have seen no unified condemnation of these acts, not even from Chuck Schumer, who is the highest-ranking Jewish individual in our government’s history. Schumer has no problem calling out Supreme Court justices for overturning Roe V Wade or Trump and Musk for cutting waste and fraud in the federal budget. Still, he appears neutral or ambivalent about the violent terrorist acts aimed at innocent Jewish Americans. This lack of outrage is not just bad leadership, but it is bad for humanity.

The Left loves to accuse the Right and the country of suffering from a severe case of systemic racism. There is no proof to support this claim, but we are building a strong case for systemic anti-semitism. We have casualties and deaths, but we also have a level of our educational system that is festering and supporting this evil mindset. This has to stop, and if it takes shutting off the cash spigots, I will volunteer to turn the valve. Indoctrination is a vile thing done to our young folk from the first day they walk into a public school. We can solve this by dismantling the Department of Education. Started by Jimmy Carter, it has wasted more money and given us poorly educated children. Like everything else in government that is inefficient and costly, they have to go.
